Fuck you junk rock because I want cacophony sounds. Cacophony sounds. To fuel me and help me to crush your bones. Because there's no time to hold your hand. Catch up or be phased out. Ha ha ha! Ha ha ha! It's a joke. Get it? Get it? Get it? Get it?

I looked into your mirror and I hated what I saw. Just some cheap skin stretched across dumb diamond bones. I looked into your mirror and I hated what I saw. Just some skin stretched across those diamond bones.

Tomorrow morning.

I woke up looking into my eyes. Hugging the wall. Not doing well The bathroom sink. Blue in my mouth. Spent capsules in my throat I bought at the store just up the street. Gave them to my friends. We are astronauts and we plummet through night because daytime's a drag. Daytime's a drag. Daytime's a drag. Daytime's a drag. Daytime's a drag. Daytime's a drag. Daytime's a drag. Daytime's a drag. I woke up into my eyes.

You're no fun sexy. Sunday at The Palace. You were just skin and bones on the dance floor. Buried my name in pocket change once again. People let you down as you let them down so let's get down. You're no fun sexy. Monday in my bedroom. Twitchy cartoon playing across my skin and then your skin. Just dull ideas that I fondle. People let you down as you let them down so let's get down. So let's get down. So let's get down. So let's get down. So let's get down.

If you want something done you must do it with your cold bare hands. That's just what you did. You're hitting the skids and now you're in a string of cheap motels. The pills and gin and shotgun shells. Uh huh. "Was it worth it?" "Yeah it was worth it because now these hands are warm." All you ever did was bitch and moan about the scuffed up little stone you called a heart. Well that gem is wry and that well is dry and you just can't get blood where there's no blood. Just a thing a ripped up mind was thinking of. "Was it worth it?" "Yeah it was worth it because now these hands are warm."

Believe you me we are not evil darling. No more evil than you'd expect. I want you to know just want you're thinking baby. I need a paycheck so tag you're it I'm slitting night's throat with a dull blade. Believe you me I'd rather be drinking hey hey. Walking the streets. Anything but this. Because I went to school and paid for an education that just frustrates me. I've got no motivation to play this game of truth and right.

Everybody's doing the accessorize. Pretty girls they cut like knives. Something shiny on their arm does not require couth or charm. Jewelry with skin and bones is all you need to do the accessorize. Do the accessorize. Do the accessorize. Do the accessorize. Just like playing cards. Like taking off a coat. A pin on your purse strap. A feather in your cap. Collect for collector. Reject. No rear projector. Do the accessorize. Do the accessorize. Do the accessorize. Do the accessorize.

about

NOTES
These tracks were written directly after Paint the Walls in Blood. This is also when Matthew Duffy began performing with us as an interpretive dancer and clarinetist. It was recorded on a variety of cassette four-tracks and open air recorders. All tracks were dumped to digital in mono. There were a small number of CD-R copies sold at shows in Hallifax over a two month period.

EXTRAS
La Petite Morte (demo) is an early reference recording of the song.
